Driving Transformation Through Innovative and Sustainable Solutions.
At OTIUM Global Consulting Ltd, we are proud to have contributed to transformative projects across various sectors. Our expertise spans infrastructure, renewable energy, public-private partnerships (PPP), and more. Below are some examples of our impactful and successful projects:
Has provided services of preparing business plans, business analysis, investment analysis, financial and economic analysis, Climate Change Impact Assessment and Mitigation, social and environmental impact assessment, Preparation of Project Idea Note, Project Design Document, CDM Analysis, Investor Pitching and Selling of credits.
Has provided services of preparing business plans, business analysis, investment analysis, financial and economic analysis, Climate Change Impact Assessment and Mitigation, social and environmental impact assessment, Preparation of Project Idea Note, Project Design Document, CDM Analysis, Investor Pitching and Selling of credits.
Has provided services of harness the linkages between waste, water, food and energy for climate change adaptation and mitigation. Improve access and up-scale use of solid waste management, cleaner energy sources and technologies in city, households, institutions and agro-industries to reduce GHG emissions and deforestation and improve human health. Enhance knowledge management and learning to support up scaling of evidence-based interventions at the national, county and community levels. preparing business plans, business analysis, investment analysis, financial and economic analysis, Climate Change Impact Assessment and Mitigation, social and environmental impact assessment, Preparation of Project Idea Note, Project Design Document, CDM Analysis, Investor Pitching and Selling of credits.

Has provided services which includes preparation of a comprehensive matrix of strengths and weaknesses of forests legal and regulatory framework, programmes and plans with the view of introducing an integrated approach to managing forests. Defines gaps in the existing law, policy which prevent form consideration of the full value of ecosystem services rendered by forests including identification of gaps in the REDD+ baseline project and related initiatives. Stipulates strategic entry points for adopting landscape approach to forests management in PNG, describes appropriate legal and institutional constraints, opportunities, and arrangements for the declaring of forest protected areas to protect High Conservation Value Forests (HCVFs), Define the location size and ecological parameters of the expected HCVFs, community managed conservation areas and other locations for SFM activities. Provide sufficient information on the biological or ecosystem value of the HCV areas that clearly justify their selection as well as information of key species, ecosystems, threats and pressures on these HCV areas and opportunities for their conservation, Assess and gather data to establish baseline, target and mechanism for monitoring status of indicator species and methodology for project monitoring, Assists the forest policy expert in the identification of issues relevant for the carbon sequestration and afforestation activities as follows: provides first scientific estimates of emissions classified by source and sink; provides a first proposal on the national forest reference emissions levels; assesses past changes in forest area and forest carbon pools, and project under two scenarios – baseline and project; consider the impact of climate change in the short and medium term; discuss which carbon markets (REDD, voluntary) PNG can and/or should most effectively be aiming at with respect to forest carbon projects; provide expert opinion on displacement of emissions and actions to reduce displacement (leakage); discuss potential nonpermanence of such projects and actions to fix permanence (e.g. through setting up protected areas – HCVF and community conservation areas).
Wind and Solar Energy Feasibility Studies were conducted for a 10 to 20 MW grid-tied photovoltaic system, typical of on-grid and off grid installations The feasibility study summarizes the estimated cost of a commonly sized wind and solar energy system, anticipated annual wind and solar power produced for the region, anticipated month-by-month power produced, simple payback calculations, and a Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) for this system. This study is intended to evaluate the overall project’s economic viability in its intended location.
Has worked on preparing of Municipal Solid Waste Management plans. Develop solid waste management plans for improvement of collection, transfer (as needed), recycling and disposal of municipal refuse in local government units (LGU’s), ranging in size from the village level to cities of inhabitants and located within the study area. Develop a report on the legal, regulatory and organization framework for solid waste management in, at the central, regional and local levels of government, including recommendations for strengthening the local and central government capacity to manage solid wastes. Train and involve central government staff responsible for oversight, technical assistance, policy support, and regulatory guidance of solid waste management by local governments, so that they would fully understand the solid waste management planning process. Technology transfer to local consultants working as counterparts, so that they would be competent to develop solid waste management plans in other cities and upgrade the plans in the future, as needed.
Conduct a socio-economic study of hydro, waste management and recycling projects identifying ways of engaging relevant stakeholders and providing recommendations; Conduct a full Environmental and Social Impact Assessment prior to construction/ rehabilitation of the project; Identify and engage with the local private sector companies specialized in mechanical and hydraulic installments for innovative solutions on the installments needed. Consultations with project owners, private contractors, and other key stakeholders of the proposed project.
